Governor Maura Healey released the new Administration's first budget on March 1, 2023, for Fiscal Year 2024, and the process of finalizing a budget is progressing through the legislative cycle. The MARS organization continues to monitor and inform our members of budgetary issues and financial proposals that potentially impact education and regional school districts.

 

You are invited to join our colleagues and members of other educational organizations (DESE, MASBO, MASS, MASC, MAVA) at our Annual Legislative Forum. The leadership team is evolving from the Baker/Polito to Healey/Driscoll team, and we are pleased that we continue to garner support from those newly appointed in both the House and Senate. This is an ideal opportunity to meet them, listen to and learn about their interests, and ask questions.

 

A Panel of Massachusetts Legislators from the Senate and House will address educational issues specific to regional and rural school districts, current legislation, and the status of the proposed FY24 budget.
